Become Inspired

  • Posted on July 12, 2010 at 3:05 am

Along with determination and belief is being enthusiastic about your goal. Everything that happens along the way is another joyous milestone, taking you another step closer to success. Enthusiasm adds to your positive perspective and affirms your personal motivation in the outcome.

Enthusiasm comes from inspiration. Inspiration comes from knowledge and enrichment of the mind, while ignorance fosters and intensifies fear. Inspiration also helps you to further define and detail your plan of action. Inspiration may be obtained through many channels. The most obvious is education, whether it is motivational material to keep you on your path or gaining more specific knowledge to achieve your success. Education may be reading books, magazines, and journals, taking workshops and classes, listening to tapes/CDs, and watching videos that provides motivation techniques in the area of your goal. You become what you study, so expose your mind to anything and everything that adds to the achievement of your success.

Also, include educational and motivational materials that will help you after your success is achieved. Currently, you are in “the process”. Once your goal is achieved, you should already have the knowledge and motivation to use the success in a positive manner and keep it moving forward.

The people that surround you influence your path, your attitude, your determination, your belief, your inspiration, and the outcome of your success. You should surround yourself with people who share your positive vision and desire to achieve your goal. Otherwise, you may be eliminating your success through the power of association. Associations may mean being around the people who can make your success happen. Donald Trump did just this. He associated with those people, whom he wanted to emulate and who could assist his success. Now, that type of success may not be what you desire; however, associations still impact your goals. Here’s an example.

Darren used to be an alcoholic. After he hit bottom, he went into rehab and cleaned up his life. He joined Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and tried to convince his wife to join Al-Anon, an arm of AA that helps spouses of alcoholics to eliminate all of their “old habits” they developed over the years to cope with the alcoholism (however, they also trigger a recovering alcoholic’s past habits, as well). She refused any type of counseling and, at every opportunity, would “push Darren’s buttons”. Having difficulty retaining his sobriety under his wife’s subconscious attempts to return to her comfort zone (though it was detrimental to her well-being, since Darren was physically abusive when drunk), Darren eventually divorced his wife. He’s now been sober and happily remarried to a supporting spouse for many years.

One of the most supporting and inspirational tools to achieve success is to have a hero. Oprah Winfrey, talk show host, once told Barbara Walters, renowned interviewer and newscaster, that, if it were not for Ms. Walters, she wouldn’t be where she is today. This is a wonderful example of using a hero to achieve. The great thing about emulating heroes is that they can be living, dead or even fictitious.

Finding a hero (or heroine) to emulate gives you many achievement advantages. That person is already the success you seek. Learn all you can about them. If possible, take them to lunch and interview them. Find out what they purposefully did to achieve. What did they do differently to ease the process to success? Put up photos of this person all around your living space and on your desk at work. Keep a list of the person’s traits that you wish to emulate, and incorporate them and anything that helped your hero to achieve into your plan of action.

Look around you. There are many sources of inspiration for you to draw upon. The more inspired you get, the more likely you will strive to achieve your life goals.

Seven Helpful Habits Of Highly Successful Single Working Mums

  • Posted on July 11, 2010 at 5:08 am

Whilst Stephen Covey may have outlined seven habits of effective people, especially from a business perspective, specific coaching for women can help us interpret these seven habits for single mums - mums who are able to overcome significant obstacles and become highly effective in their day-to-day living.

Some of these habits overlap or could be reinterpreted in a different fashion, but these principles should be adopted as soon as possible if you are new to being a single mum, or beginning to feel harried beyond belief.

Habit number one – Master the clock.

There are only a certain number of hours in a given day, but how we use them dictates how we really feel when all is said and done. Will we have been productive and feel good about ourselves, or will we feel as if we have been bouncing back and forth with little to show for our efforts?

Those who are very effective and fall into the first category are time masters and have set out everything they need to achieve in a given day. By taking baby steps and not looking too far ahead of yourself if you have a busy schedule, you can avoid the feeling that everything is so daunting and not compromise your chances.

Layout everything that you need to do on a sheet of paper, categorised according to hourly, daily, weekly or monthly activities and start to bring it all together. Now may be the time to consider professional coaching to help you master this.

Habit two - Be habitual.

You really must get into the habit if your highly effective timetable is going to work. You may have to set up some triggers to start off with and have some fundamental goal posts to aim for as you go through each day, but through a process of repetition you will find that you get those more mundane yet necessary tasks achieved this way.

If you stick to your timetable and become used to doing these tasks, you will be able to achieve them in far less time and have lots of personal space available to you at the end of the day.

Habit three - Set up your voice-mail.

It is easy enough to set everything down to enjoy the latest gossip with the neighbour, but distractions are definitely your enemy.

The most effective businessmen or women do not allow themselves to be distracted by random phone calls and while you may not be able to employ the services of a personal secretary, you should ensure that you maintain your focus and don’t let your guard down to the temptations!

Habit number four – Plan for your rainy day.

Those rainy days will come of course and family issues may overtake what you had planned. Look after your personal days at work and only use them for emergency purposes. If at all possible, see if your schedule will allow you to catch up from time to time by working an evening per week or even on Saturday mornings, so when the inevitable issue with the kids at school comes up it will not be a major concern for everyone.

Rainy days may certainly make it more difficult for you to master the clock, but the highly effective single mum has planned as much in advance as possible.

Habit five - It’s all about me.

No amount of efficiency and dedication to what you have to do for your family and your work will count if you do not allow time for personal re-invigoration.

There is a time for delegation, to get away from it all to recharge your batteries, so you can come back refreshed and be able to take it all on again.

Habit six - Be fit.

Health is everything, for you and your family. Never be tempted to sleep in for an extra 15 minutes at the expense of your daily walk on the treadmill. This absolutely must be at the top of the list of priorities and if you don’t do this, over a period of time efficiency will suffer and you will not be able to be as effective as you might otherwise have been.

Habit number seven – Scratch a back.

If you are smart, you will realise that while you may be able to manage as a single mum most of the time, there will be times when you must call in for help. Hopefully you will have a good network of acquaintances, friends and other family members and should nurture this support group by putting time into your schedule to help them out in advance. Stephen Covey talked about how each party must “win” and this is what you’re investing in here. By donating your time or other resources to help one of your contacts, you will have kept your side of the win-win bargain.

There can certainly be a lot to it, but you shouldn’t despair. In this day and age, online life coaching can help you look even further into the seven habits and to prepare your action plan for your successful life ahead.

Amanda Alexander, Director of Coaching Mums, helps pressure-cooked, stressed working mums who long for more hours in the day. Through her coaching programmes and online life coaching courses, Amanda shows mums how to create fulfilling and successful lives. Lose The Stubborn belly Fat In A Hurry

  • Posted on July 10, 2010 at 11:28 pm

Everyone knows that summer is fast approaching. With the heat will come the short sleeve shirts and the shorts. What we do now will affect how we appear in those summer outfits. If we wait too much longer we’ll be finding ourselves dreaming of the days that we could be spending on the beach. And we’ll be doing that from the privacy of our own home.

Everybody strives to have a dream body that is the envy of others, but few of us have that body. If you have a few pounds to lose there are ways to fix it. There are many diet programs available that we’ll tell you how to lose weight fast if that is what you need to do to get ready for a summer at the beach or if you just want to lose that stubborn belly fat around your waist. While results of these weight loss plans vary, there are many that give great results. The weight loss systems are also sometimes not healthy for a person to use. It is up to the individual to find a weight loss program that will work for them. Each person should also take the time to check with a doctor to make sure what they are doing is safe.

To research these products, all one has to do is turn to the internet where there are places like the biggest loser forum that has links to all sorts of weight loss web sites and also has chat rooms where you might find a person who has a personal experience with one of the weight loss programs that you may be considering. Someone can find that they will lose the weight easier if they take the time to discover the facts in advance of starting a weight loss plan. It is very discouraging for someone to try one of these programs and not to have it work as the companies claimed they would.

Many of these diet systems use similar methods to help lose weight. In order to drop the pounds you need to use more energy than you take in. The oldest way to burn calories is to get out and exercise, but if you don’t care to put forth the effort that is required to do six pack ab exercises, than these programs can make any exercise you do more effective. The weight loss programs that say they detox you body claim to remove impurities that are supposed to be detrimental to weight loss. These products claim that by removing these chemicals from your system, you are able to speed up the way your body uses the food it takes in. The detox plans also have something that will suppress your appetite. A key to dieting has always been decrease the food you take in. It is a great combination to get fit and trim in a hurry when you can limit your diet while speeding up your metabolism.

If a person is really striving for the perfect beach body, they can do several things in conjunction. By using one of the rapid weight loss programs and combining it with a complete exercise plan the weight can disappear in a hurry. As long as you dedicate yourself to doing the work every day you will be able to achieve the results you want. How much they accomplish will always depend on the effort that is put in.

You can wait another day. If when you look in the mirror you think about covering up, don’t wait. There are many programs to choose from that will get rid of the stubborn belly fat. If a person does nothing, the fat will remain. It is much more fun to be able to go out during the summer in clothes that are light and comfortable instead of wearing clothes that cover every inch of your body.

Reiki Master — If You Are Thinking Of Becoming A Reiki Master, Make Sure That The Teacher You Choose Is Truly Qualified.

  • Posted on July 9, 2010 at 12:22 am

You will have to go through all three levels of attunements and training to become a reiki master.

Reiki goes back a long way in history. It is an ancient craft with different levels of proficiency.

You can choose between being a student, a practitioner, or a reiki master. Want to go beyond a reiki master? Go here: healing reiki

Practitioners have the ability to heal themselves and others. Level one is for students; second level is for practitioners. They require attunements.

Receiving the Master symbol and completing the third level in required To become a Reiki Master. After third level is completed theoretically you are allowed to teach Reiki to students.

If you want to become a Reiki Master you will have to complete all three levels, and be given the master symbol. You will have to have a thorough knowledge of the many symbols and concepts found in the craft. It is important to practically use your knowledge, and symbols. Conduct reiki sessions, before you even think about teaching and attuneing others into the art. How come? Lots of people simply get the attunements, and then attune others, without having any practical experience. In my opinion teaching without experience is a waste of time. Want to go beyond a reiki master? Go here: reiki

The more reiki master and practitioners who honestly practise reiki make it a stronger energy. It has quite a bit to do with the right focus. You should not undersell it, or just pretend to be a reiki master. If your focus is for the good of all it will keep the reiki energy frequency high. If you learn it, use it! Don’t just collect it. Reiki is a beautiful thing. It can benefit many people. If your focus is just to make money, then in the end you are diminishing the effect of the reiki energy.

My spiritual journey began with reiki, and has not stop since. A lot has happened, and a lot has changed in such a positive way. Everyone can benefit from becoming a reiki master. Reiki is not a religion. It is a universal energy source that we all can share.

If you are thinking of becoming a reiki master, and you think your teacher is just wanting to make some fast cash then be extra careful. If you want to get the best training possible, find out the lineage of your teacher. Look them up to see if they are legitimate. It is probably a good idea to pay more money for a great teacher with the right lineage, that you feel comfortable with. Here you can go beyond a reiki master: reiki master

Major Causes Of Unhappiness And Fail-Safe Ways To Overcome Them

  • Posted on July 8, 2010 at 7:57 am

Most people nowadays have indeed become very unhappy and miserable. With everything that is happening around the world – natural calamities such as earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunami, etc., terrorism, and economic crisis – it would not be a surprise if people just give up hoping for a happy and bright future. It’s very easy to become unhappy when things don’t turn out the way we like it. We feel angry and irritable. However, we must not dwell on these feelings too long because they can lead to problems that are more serious. But how can a person who is sick be happy when he is in pain? How can a mother and a father be happy when they do not have enough income to provide for their children’s needs? How can one find happiness when he does not even have a shelter over his head? There are many causes of unhappiness and each of them must be addressed.

Besides having poor health and insufficient income, other causes of unhappiness include:

BURNOUT AND LACK OF PRODUCTIVE WORK

The keyword is “productive” for it gives a sense of fulfillment. Without it life starts to feel empty and void of direction.

Getting physically and mentally active may help overcome unhappiness. Get involved with something worthwhile, something that will give a sense of fulfillment or achievement.

THE FEAR OF REJECTION

It hurts when people reject us. It leaves a feeling of sadness and lowers our self-esteem. There are many ways rejection manifests itself. Some people express rejection by verbally saying that they do not like the person or his idea. Some express skepticism or ridicule the person presenting new ideas. Others try to form their own group and exclude those they dislike.

Rejection is also expressed non-verbally. Some adopt the closed and defensive stance and refuse to listen to ideas by re-directing the flow of conversation. The thumbs-down sign is universally understood as rejection.

If this is the case, we should try to associate with other people who will accept us for what we are. Rejection should not put an end to our efforts. We should take it as a sign to do a re-examination and try another approach.

LIVING ACCORDING TO OTHER PEOPLE’S STANDARDS

This is a very common cause of unhappiness. The people who care too much about what others think of them usually cannot make their own decisions. They live their lives according to other people’s will and expectations. It’s difficult to find happiness when we spend our time pleasing others instead of ourselves.

We should be confident about ourselves. Cast fears aside. Just bear in mind that whatever anyone says or does mean nothing about our worth as human beings. Robert Louis Stevenson has this to say, “Don’t let your neighbor set your standards. Be yourself.” We feel joy when our self-worth rests quietly within us, not on the lips of others.

THE FEAR OF FAILURE

Failure to achieve important goals in life can lead to feelings of inadequacy and frustration. Whatever goals that we set in life should be realistic and doable. These goals should be meaningful to us; otherwise, we will only derive little happiness from achieving it. We should set goals for the major areas of our lives.

Start with a systematic plan to achieve goals. Begin implementing them and monitor the progress. When we start to realize our goals, our happiness will increase as well. If life is not the way we like it, that shouldn’t be cause for unhappiness. Edward de Bono has this to say, “Unhappiness is best defined as the difference between our talents and expectations.” Too many expectations can really cause unhappiness; therefore, we should try to live a simple life - with simple wants and simple needs. The more important thing is to rise above the things that pull us down and move on.

SINS AND CRIMES

Nobody is perfect. All of us commit mistakes. Some people may have unknowingly committed mistakes. However, a few people consciously live their lives in sins and immorality. These people have not fully realized the serious consequences of doing sins.

Sins and crimes are cause of unhappiness. Crime does not pay. Eventually justice will catch up with them and they will get caught. Violence begets violence. Truly, it is difficult to find a bright future behind bars or six feet below the ground. For some who manage to get away with their crimes, guilt will most likely haunt their conscience and can cause them to feel miserable for the rest of their lives.

ALCOHOL AND DRUGS

Some people think that happiness can be attained through alcohol or drugs. Consequently, they resort to these substances thinking they can escape from the troubles and worries of life. They are dead wrong! It is like escaping from small fire to hell.

Alcohol is a mood-altering substance and is a depressant. In fact, some doctors prescribe moderate amounts of alcohol as tranquilizer or sedative. A drink or two can actually improve health and help a person to relax. However, greater quantities can be fatal. Alcohol abuse ruins both the mind and the body. Anyone who drinks too much is risking the hazards of accident caused by loss of coordination, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, liver disease and related disorders. On the other end of the spectrum, drugs play a role in destroying the mental health of the user. Today we see so many forms of social ills that are drug related. Many of the suicide and homicide cases are related to drug abuse.

DESTRUCTIVE CRITICISMS

These are useless acts and seldom accomplish any positive results. If we have to give feedback, we must make sure it is constructive and useful. Criticism is one of the greatest causes of limitations in our lives.

We should learn to be tolerant of the behavior of others even if it does not fit the pattern of our opinions. Learn to savor the differences between people. Imagine how dull the world would be if we all thought, spoke, and acted the same way!

If we are on the receiving end of destructive criticisms, it is normal to feel upset but we should evaluate the purpose or motive of the person who expressed his thoughts. If we are upset with people who do not have anything good to say about us, we might as well avoid them. Let us try to associate with people that naturally please us. More importantly, always keep in mind that we cannot please everybody; hence, we should not let destructive criticisms be a cause of worry and sleepless nights.

Take the time to examine your feeling. Why are you really unhappy? The key is knowing the cause. Once you know the cause, you’ll be able to work out a plan to overcome it. That is the secret to happiness.

Exercise The Right Way

  • Posted on July 7, 2010 at 3:56 pm

For anyone who wants to develop a fit and trim body they must come up with a plan to help them get there. It doesn’t matter if you have been exercising for a long time or just for a little while, the key to success is to do it regularly.

So, you’re trying to lose weight, and are curious to how best to accomplish that goal. You have seen the advertising on websites like http://www.fatlossfactor.com and now you want to know the best ways to accomplish this, whether it’s on your treadmill, your elliptical trainer, or your exercise bicycle, and you may have wondered how you put together a program that actually burns fat

When you are trying to get fit and trim you need to understand how intense your work outs must be in order to be the most effective. Most people believe the more intense a work out is the more weight you will lose. That’s not necessarily the case. Your body actually burns a higher percentage of calories at lower intensities. Working at a faster tempo might use more energy, but it does not get rid of as much fat as a slower tempo work out. Getting the right exercise to maximize your weight loss requires a little more effort than doing a six pack ab exercise program before you go to bed, but it is not the hardest thing for a person to figure out.

Know what you pulse should be when working out. What methods are available for someone to discover what that rate is to get the best results? This can be done by using a simple formula or by consulting your physician. Anybody who is starting a diet and exercise program should consult their physician to make sure it is safe. By learning what your pulse should be while you exercise, all you have to do is get it there to achieve the best results.

For any fitness program that a person undertakes they need to figure out how long and how intense their fitness program should be. For weight loss, most experts suggest 60 minutes of moderate intensity activity most days during the week. For the fitness novice they might want to begin with a little less strenuous regimen. When you are just starting, exercise for 3 or 4 days and only about 15 minutes at a time. For advise on how to get started a person can turn to message boards like biggest loser weight loss forum where people are willing to give advice about what they have learned and what has worked for them to anyone who wants to read it.

The best way to stick to a weight loss program is to put the times that you will exercise on a colander. Switch the types of exercise that you do. Change the intensity levels of the workouts so that you are not doing high intensity workouts every day. When you stress your body too much, it will fight back and keep you from exercising as much as you should. The key to losing weight is to consider your diet and make sure you are active every day. The key to success in weight loss is to approach it as a long term goal not a quick fix. Don’t try to get the results overnight. If you don’t have enough time to do your whole workout at one time in the day, split it up. Exercise after every meal if you want. Make sure to make the time in your schedule to exercise. Give yourself some time before and after each work out to help your body and to stay hydrated. Make sure to stretch your muscles before and after. Eat a small, well-balance snack an hour or two before you hit the gym. All of the effort will pay off in the end when you can enjoy a longer, healthier life.

Bio Matching Hormone Replacement

  • Posted on August 7, 2009 at 11:06 pm

Most of the people could debate that feeling of discombobulation, as well as hot flashes, sleep issues, aches and pains, mind fog, and sometimes feeling like a spook before the protocol. I had the mind fog. I had trouble sleeping. I didn’t have hot flashes but I had just so many other things spilling on and I found that after I did start the bioidentical hormones bio-identical hormones that I felt reconnected. You know I felt reconnected to everything and everybody and I had balance again. In your 50s and sixties, you know there are plenty of issues you could have to deal with, both with your immediate family and others. I wasn’t coping well initially, but then I basically got my life back when I regained my balanced and got a handle on everything.

Having had mind mist, I thought I was a small irritable and over-reactionary, while she hadn’t gone thru menopause, so I had a tough time relating before I went on the protocol. Our self life incredibly improved physically and emotionally after the Wiley protocol. She naturally, had a period again which kept everything I suspect functioning as a young lady. I’m very happy with her being on the protocol, naturally, and our life seemed to be happier and smoother since.

If you don’t do anything, if you do not take any hormones, you get ill. Death is inevitable. You’re taking hormones, you’re feeling good. You feel well. In a few cases, you feel lovely. And when you are feeling well, I believe that is a adequate indication that it’s right for you, you know. So, I suspect the fear thing is terribly over blown by maybe the media, maybe by other people that don’t know but you have to have the experience. You have got to try it. You’ve got to do your own research and then go by how you feel and you look, you don’t end up running out of step drugs in your system or arthritis drugs or sleeping tablets. When we run out of hormones, you are empty, so that’s essentially why you do not feel so good. You basically get your life back when you replace them.
